Bruce McGonigal moved to Hawaii from Chicago in 1996 and immediately developed an affinity for birds. For a short time he worked in Waikiki, followed by gigs at Koko Marina in Hawaii Kai, the Molokai Lookout and for a year-and-a-half at Hilo Hatties. In 2002 Bruce took a job at Aloha Tower and for years was a familiar face at the popular downtown Honolulu shopping arcade. In 2006 he left to free-lance until hooking-up with Paradise Cove Luau in November of 2008.
